Serenities AI™

Connect your tools

Connect a tool. Then ask for what you need.

A connector links one of your apps, such as Gmail, Notion or Google Drive, to Serenities. Once it is connected, you can ask the chat to use it, add it as a step in an automation, or give it to an AI agent.

Example. An example. Gmail, Notion and Google Drive are connected. In the chat, the owner asks to find the proposal in Google Drive and email it to Ana K. The AI finds Studio proposal in Google Drive, then waits for your OK before it sends the email.

Connect your apps, then ask. You approve what changes anything.

What it is

Your apps, linked to the AI that works for you.

A connector is a link between Serenities and another app you use. You sign in to that app once, and from then on the AI in Serenities can look things up in it and, where you allow it, do things in it.

A connected app can be used in three places: in the AI chat, as a step in a flow, and by an AI agent. Each place has its own switch, so connecting an app does not hand it to everything.

Connectors take Serenities to your other apps. Use your own AI goes the other way: Serenities provides a connector of its own, so you can control Serenities from Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app that supports custom connectors, using your own subscription to it. Both are separate pages.

What you can use it for

Jobs a connected app can do for you.

Four jobs, each using a real feature. Which apps you can connect is in the list further down.

Find it and send it

Send a file without opening three tabs.

Connect
Google Drive and Gmail.
Ask the chat
"Find the proposal in Google Drive and email it to Ana K."
Result
The AI finds the file and drafts the email. Because sending changes something, a card waits for you: Allow or Deny.

Done with: the AI chat.

Find a note in Notion

Stop searching through your notes by hand.

Connect
Notion.
Ask the chat
"Find my meeting notes in Notion."
Result
The AI searches Notion and shows you what it found.

Done with: the AI chat.

Let an agent look after an inbox

Have enquiries read and filed for you.

Connect
Gmail and Notion, then tick only those under Authorised connections on the agent.
Result
The agent can use Gmail and Notion and nothing else. Apps you did not tick stay out of reach.

Done with: an AI agent.

A step in an automation

Post an update on a schedule.

Connect
Slack.
Build
a flow with a Schedule Trigger, then press Add Connector, pick Slack and choose one of its actions, such as posting a message (the actions on offer are Slack's own).
Result
The step runs whenever the trigger fires, with no approval pause.

Done with: Flows.

How it works

What you do in Serenities, step by step.

This is what you do under Automations > Connectors.

  1. 01Open Connectors
  2. 02Connect an app
  3. 03Choose where it may be used
  4. 04Use it
  5. 05Choose how careful the AI should be
  6. 06Reconnect or remove

01Open Connectors

Open Connectors.

Click Automations in the left menu, then Connectors under Set up. The page has two tabs: Connected (what you have linked) and Browse (what you can link). You can also reach the same list from the + in the chat box.

Example. The Connectors page with its two tabs, Connected and Browse, and a search box that says Search connectors.

02Connect an app

Connect an app.

On Browse, find the app and press Connect. If the app uses a sign-in, give the connection a name in Connection Name and press Sign in with that app; a window opens on the app's own site, and you never type its password into Serenities. If it uses a key instead, paste the key, press Test Connection, then Create Connection. A card that is already connected says Connected · add another, so you can link a second account.

Social apps: after connecting, a box called Choose what to add asks which pages or channels to add. Press Not now to skip it.

Example. The Gmail card on Browse, by Serenities AI, with a Connect button. After connecting, the same card says Connected · add another.

03Choose where it may be used

Choose where it may be used.

Connected is not the same as allowed. In the chat, open the + menu, find Connectors ("Other apps the AI can use in this chat") and use the switch next to each app. For an AI agent, tick the app under Authorised connections, and expand it to allow only some of its actions. For a flow, open Add Connector and pick one of its actions as a step. For a function, open its Access tab.

A switch on the Connected row turns an app off everywhere without removing it.

04Use it

Use it in plain words.

In the chat, ask in plain words. When the AI is about to change something in an app, a card appears: "Gmail wants to…" with Deny and Allow. Agents use only the apps and actions you allowed. Flows run their connector steps when the trigger fires.

05Choose how careful the AI should be

Choose how careful the AI should be.

Open your profile menu and choose Access and security, then the Connectors tab. For each connector you can set When the AI uses it for three kinds of action: Read (looks things up), Change (sends, posts, pays or updates) and Delete (deletes or removes). Each can be Don't ask, Ask before changes or Ask first. A new connection starts with reads running on their own and changes and deletes asking first. You can also set one action at a time under Advanced.

06Reconnect or remove

Reconnect or remove.

If a sign-in runs out, the app's row shows Reconnect, or Update key for a key. To forget an app, press Remove connector. Flows, agents and functions that use it stop working until you connect it again.

Limits

What to know before you connect.

  • Nothing connects by itself. You connect an app, then allow it in each place you want to use it.
  • A connector can only do what the other app offers. Serenities does not control which actions an app provides, and cannot check that they work as intended or won't change. Connect apps from companies you trust.
  • Flows and functions do not stop to ask. A connector step in a flow runs when the flow reaches it. Only the AI chat and AI agents can ask first. So allow a flow only the actions you are happy to see run by themselves.
  • Very large results are cut off. A connector's reply stops being read after 8 MB, and what is handed to the AI is shortened (about 25,000 tokens).
  • Only apps reachable on the internet can be connected. Private or local addresses are refused.
  • A sign-in can expire. The row then shows Reconnect. Until then, what uses it fails.

Quick answers

Which tools can I connect?

Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion and many more. Open Browse to see the full list and connect only the ones you use.

Is it safe to connect my accounts?

For apps that use a sign-in, you sign in on the other app's own page, so you do not type its password into Serenities. You choose where each app may be used, and you can switch one off or remove it at any time. Connect apps only from companies you trust: what an app offers is its own responsibility.

Do I have to connect everything?

No. Nothing connects by itself. Connect an app when you want to use it.

Will the AI send emails or change things without asking?

In the chat, a new connection asks before it makes any change or deletion, and you can change that for each connector under Access and security. AI agents have their own approval setting and always stop before spending money. Flows and functions do not ask, so check what you allow them.

Can I use more than one account of the same app?

Yes. A connected app's card says Connected · add another, so you can link a second account and give each a name.

What if the app I use is not listed?

Press Add custom connector and paste the connector address the app gives you. Only apps that offer one on the public internet can be linked this way.

What happens if I remove a connector?

It disappears from the chat, and any flow, agent or function that used it stops working until you connect it again.

Can I use Serenities from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. That is a different connector, the one Serenities provides. Open Your AI > Connect your AI, copy the address, add it as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app that supports them, and sign in. Then you can ask it to build and change things in your account. Steps are on the Use your own AI page.
